Facilitator |
The facilitator keeps the group moving forward and on task. S/he helps to ensure that everyone is involved, that each group member has and understands specific tasks to accomplish, and helps solve problems when they arise. When the task managers or scheduler need assistance, the facilitator will step in. The facilitator is responsible for the overall success of the group. The facilitator should be someone who has leadership and communication skills and is not afraid to confront other group members in a respectful way when s/he sees a potential problem.
If the scheduler is absent, it is the facilitator's job to complete the Daily Log. |
Scheduler |
The scheduler makes sure that the group has a timeline in place for completing all parts of the project. S/he helps set up the original timeline and makes sure that all group members are working each day to meet the deadline. The scheduler should be someone who is organized and good with time management and organization. If s/he sees that a group member is not keeping up with the schedule that you have put in place, it is the scheduler's job to let the facilitator know.
The scheduler should also complete a Daily Log at the end of each class day to keep track of the group's progress and the group members' participation. |

This contract will state expectations and responsibilities that all group members agree to uphold. Each group member will sign the contract and abide by it throughout the project.
The contract must include a schedule with daily goals and deadlines that the group agrees to meet. It should include a plan for what should be done during class each day as well as a reading timeline. |
